Career Background

Krissiha Lagos has experience as a news producer and media manager. In her time with Telemundo Arizona, she transitioned from an assignment desk editor and backup producer to a full-time role as a news producer. She was in charge of producing the early evening newscasts with a focus on the 5 p.m. broadcasts during weekdays. Lagos also spearheaded the launch of ¡Qué tal Arizona!, a bilingual newscast streamed on all digital platforms. She also coordinated special projects like community town halls, resource fairs, and an annual monsoon special. As well as participated in covering special events such as political rallies, and the 2023 Super Bowl. Meanwhile as a media manager, Lagos helped troubleshoot technical issues with Dalet Galaxy software and provided training. She began her career in 2021 as a technical director and backup producer at Telemundo Utah, where she directed daily newscasts and managed visual elements of the shows.

Lagos's achievements included receiving a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award for breaking news reporting with her Telemundo Utah team and also a Silver Winner Award from The Telly Awards as an editor on a special report. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting Journalism from The University of Texas at Arlington, where she contributed as a reporter and producer for UTA News and UTA News En Español and was the News Director for UTA Radio. She is passionate about advancing her career within the industry.
